Poor Carrot :(

The level editor is so limited, there's nothing interesting in using it. In a level editor, you either need to be able to express yourself artistically or create something interesting that it wasn't exactly intended for; not just rearrange blocks to get something that, if you try really hard might be as good as the developers made it, you need to be able to go far beyond that. People making the most beautiful levels, calculators, rpg's and first person shooters in Little Big Planet. Giant robots in Mario Maker, or just something as simple as levels that finish itself by holding down one button.
You don't have to be as big as the AAA ones, but at least have some small toolset so that builders can impress someone one way or the other, otherwise what's the point?

I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you'll reconsider entering the contest, since there's really nothing to lose (it's free!). While we aren't Mario Maker, we've seen stages from a massive Danganronpa logo, to a Line Rider-esque finger-twitch transformation fest. I urge you to give it a shot, but if not hopefully our next project will be more your speed ;)
